We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lifeguard to join our team at the Don Stewart Aquatic Centre. As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our patrons while they enjoy the pool facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and enforce safe actions and behavior near and around the pool
- Perform rescues as required
- Administer first aid or cardiopulmonary resuscitation, if necessary
- Maintain the facility to ensure the swimming pool is safe and clean
- Conduct water chemistry tests and adjust as required
- Support Aquatics Supervisor in monitoring and maintaining supplies inventory required for swim programs, chemicals, first aid & cleaning
- Aquatic Emergency Care (Standard First Aid & CPR C)
- National Lifeguard Certification – Pool
- WHMIS training, emergency procedures training
The Lifeguard will be expected to work in a fast-paced environment, dealing with a variety of situations and emergencies. The incumbent must be able to lift, carry and manage equipment and supplies, and may be required to practice lifesaving techniques.
