Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pool Safety Specialist to join our team at the Town of Hay River. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety of pool patrons, providing water safety education, and maintaining a safe and clean aquatic environment.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong communication and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced aquatic environment and possess a National Lifeguard Certification - Pool.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safeguard pool patrons by enforcing safety rules and regulations
  • Provide water safety education and instruction to pool users
  • Maintain a clean and safe aquatic environment through regular inspections and cleaning
  • Respond to emergencies and administer first aid as needed
Requirements
  • National Lifeguard Certification - Pool
  • Standard First Aid & CPR C certification
  • WHMIS training and emergency procedures training
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
Benefits

The Town of Hay River offers a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. Additional benefits include a comprehensive health and dental plan, paid vacation time, and opportunities for professional development.
