Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Bulk Petroleum Driver to join our team at Otter Co-op. As a Bulk Petroleum Driver, you will be responsible for hauling bulk petroleum products to customer locations within BC, filling equipment, generators, and fuel tanks, and following all loading and unloading procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hauling bulk petroleum products to customer locations within BC
  • Filling equipment, generators, and fuel tanks
  • Following all loading and unloading procedures
  • Completing pre and post-trip inspections daily
  • Confirming the nature of each delivery and any special considerations prior to leaving
  • Maintaining positive working relationships and communicating regularly with Dispatch/Office Staff
  • Ensuring all commercial driving regulations and safety protocols are followed
  • Maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety
  • Contributing to the team in living the corporate Values of Integrity, Community, and Excellence

Requirements:

  • Valid Class 3 driver's license with air brakes endorsement
  • 3+ years of verifiable commercial driving experience
  • Training at an approved driver training school is preferred
  • Clean driver's abstract (to be updated annually)
  • General understanding of agriculture business and/or farming background is an asset
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Motivation and ability to work under pressure and in a busy work environment
  • Commitment to a SAFE working environment
  • Able to perform physical job duties including lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs
