Job Description:
The Slide Path team at White Water is looking for a highly skilled Waterslide Designer to join their dynamic team. Reporting to the Director, Slide Path, this role plays a pivotal part in delivering world-class designs tailored to customers' needs. The successful candidate will engage with salespeople and customers to understand design requests and deliver solutions in a timely fashion.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop engaging waterslide designs that incorporate safety, aesthetic appeal, and site constraints.
- Prepare 3D models and 2D layouts of waterslides using Solid Works and Auto CAD software.
- Interface with sales and clients to identify and clarify scope of work.
- Ensure clear instructions and available site information.
- Manage due dates and deadlines.
- Collaborate with the tower and supports team to ensure entire design works with the site and tower queue lines function as intended.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Preliminary tower design and queuing layouts preparation.
- Participation in Slide Design Parameter documents creation and incorporation into waterslide designs.
- Contribution to Waterslide innovation brainstorming sessions with the Product Innovation team.
- Creation and maintenance of tools to support the sales process.
- Support to the marketing team with technical data and fun facts for marketing materials.
- Participation in initiatives improving department performance and collaboration with other departments.
Qualifications and Experience:
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position or similar technical role, such as civil or mechanical engineering. A Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering degree or Diploma is required. Additionally, proficiency in reading construction drawings and topography, and experience with 3D modelling software (preferably Auto CAD and Solid Works) are essential.
