Job Title: Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Alberta Health Services. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping individuals achieve their maximum potential and independence in their daily lives.

About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, providing evidence-informed services to meet their unique needs. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, and implement interventions that promote occupational performance and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify client needs and goals
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to promote occupational performance and independence
  • Collaborate with clients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Provide education and support to clients and families to promote healthy habits and lifestyle changes
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and outcomes
Requirements:
  • Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program
  • Registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT)
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support- Healthcare Provider (BCLS HCP) certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in Continuing Care or Palliative Care
  • Experience with Meditech, Connect Care, and the RAI HC assessment tool
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
