About the Role:

We are seeking a Hospitality Steward to join our team at Fairmont Vancouver Airport. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and service in our guest rooms and public areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consistently provide professional, engaging, and friendly service to our guests
  • Responsible for cleaning and maintaining dishes, cutlery, baking and buffet equipment
  • Ensure floors and work areas are clear of hazards and obstructions
  • General cleaning duties, including mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, and polishing
  • Participate in health and safety initiatives to maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Upkeep clean and sanitary conditions of dishwashing areas

Requirements:

  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
  • Passionate about maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Must possess and maintain valid Food Safe certification

Physical Aspects:

  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
  • Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps

Additional Information:

  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
  • The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization
