Job Title: Game Development Team Lead

Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Game Development Team Lead to join our team at Kabam. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for leading a team of developers in designing, developing, operating, and administering games.

In this role, you will work closely with producers and stakeholders to manage scope, capacity, risk management, and reporting. You will also be responsible for setting up processes, capacity planning, and quality assurance for the teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage game development teams in designing, developing, operating, and administering games.
  • Work closely with producers and stakeholders to plan roadmaps, schedules, and scope planning, track risks and dependencies based on project goals.
  • Guide the delivery of content and features for your teams.
  • Conduct milestone planning, track team progress, and provide regular status updates.
  • Facilitate risk assessments and mitigation strategies when needed.
  • Lead your team to seek improvement to processes, solve problems, balance priorities, and find creative solutions that achieve positive results.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, business administration, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of project management and team leadership experience in game development or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of proven experience managing projects, helping drive career development and work performance.
  • Applied experience in multiple project management methodologies such as waterfall and agile.
  • Experience in managing art, design, data, and engineering in all phases of development.
  • Confident in decision-making that draws upon experience and best practices.
  • Proficient with Jira, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Google Workspace or equivalent software.
  • Good understanding of games as a service business model.
  • PMP or equivalent certification is an asset.
