Job Description

Job Title: PDP1220 Special Education, part I

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified educator to join our team as a Special Education Teacher. The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in Education and experience in teaching full-time in a school or working in administration for a School Board.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement the Ontario Curriculum in Special Education
  • Develop and implement individualized and modified assessment and instruction plans
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and school staff
  • Stay up-to-date with current legislation, policy, and program development in Special Education

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Education
  • Specialist qualification in Special Education
  • Recent experience in teaching full-time in a school or working in administration for a School Board
  • Two years experience of implementing the Ontario Curriculum in Special Education
  • Confirmation of qualification update in Special Education
  • Capability of applying the Ethical Standards and the Standards of Practice of the Teaching Profession
