Job Summary

The University of Ottawa is seeking a qualified Visual Arts Teacher, Part I to join our team. As a Visual Arts Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching and developing curriculum for our students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement curriculum for Visual Arts courses
  • Teach and assess students in Visual Arts courses
  • Provide guidance and support to students in Visual Arts courses
  • Stay up-to-date with developments in Visual Arts education and incorporate best practices into teaching
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Education or related field
  • Specialist qualification in Visual Arts
  • Recent experience teaching Visual Arts at the secondary level
  • Experience implementing the Ontario curriculum in Visual Arts
  • Current qualification in Visual Arts
  • Ability to apply the Ontario College of Teachers' Professional Standards and Code of Ethics
