Job Summary

The Senior Agreement Specialist plays a critical role in leading the development of project agreements between BC Housing and its partners. This position requires a high level of expertise in contract development, negotiation, and administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and review project agreements to ensure alignment with BC Housing's strategic objectives and program requirements.
  • Negotiate with housing providers and liaise with legal counsel to draft and issue complex project agreements.
  • Design new agreement templates in accordance with new and revised housing program frameworks.
  • Review and analyze contractual requirements to negotiate and write complex contracts.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in public policy, social studies, business administration, or a related field.
  • Considerable experience in drafting and interpreting agreements/contracts.
  • Strong knowledge of real estate and contract law.
  • Ability to learn and understand BC Housing agreement templates, programs, and related documentation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, research, communication, and decision-making skills.

Working Environment

The Senior Agreement Specialist will work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing workload and managing multiple priorities. This position requires strong time management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
