We are seeking a Waste Management Specialist in Newmarket to join our team at American Iron and Metal. This full-time role involves the safe and efficient transportation of metal materials to and from our recycling facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate an AZ-class roll off truck to transport metal materials, adhering to traffic laws and company policies
  • Load and unload metal materials using appropriate equipment and secure the load to prevent shifting or damage during transit
  • Perform manual tarping if necessary
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and maintain efficient communication channels

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Must be physically fit to handle heavy bins
  • Valid AZ driver's license with a clean CVOR and Drivers Abstract
  • At least 2 years of experience as an AZ Driver, preferably in transportation or logistics
  • Excellent driving skills and ability to navigate various road conditions
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols
  • Familiarity with metal recycling processes is an asset

Compensation and Benefits

  • $70,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications
