About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our team at Sunrise of Burlington. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper preparation and service of food according to established recipes, while maintaining a safe and orderly kitchen environment.

This role requires strong organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve meals in a timely manner, adhering to established standardized recipes and menus.
  • Maintain accurate records of food production quantities and cooking, holding, and cooling temperatures.
  • Ensure that all dietary modifications are prepared accurately and efficiently.
  • Stock, rotate, date, and store product according to food safety standards and regulations.
  • Maintain clean and organized kitchen, storage, and work areas.
  • Complete assigned cleaning duties and ensure accuracy of daily and weekly cleaning logs.
  • Maintain accurate equipment logs and report any issues promptly.
Requirements
  • One (1) year job-related experience in food preparation, preferably in a restaurant or hotel setting.
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate.
  • ServSafe Manager Certificate.
  • Local Health Department Food Handler Card.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
