Mechanical Completions Coordinator

Job Overview
The Mechanical Completions Coordinator is a key role in ensuring the successful completion and handover of mechanical systems on the Tug Berth Project. This position works closely with the Project Team, Construction Contractors, and Client to ensure all completions and turnover requirements are satisfied, properly executed, and documented in accordance with project requirements.
Responsibilities
- Verify system scoping drawings for completeness and accuracy.
- Review and incorporate changes into the turnover database and master punch lists.
- Update and maintain the turnover database and master punch lists.
- Participate in the development of Test Procedures and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
- Prepare system walkdown packages for preliminary and final walkdowns.
- Schedule, organize, and lead walkdowns in the field, including leading pre and post walkdown meetings.
- Prepare System Compilation Manuals or Turnover Packages that include all required documents presented in the system turnover procedure as required by the Client to certify systems as Mechanically Complete and Ready for Start Up.
- Expedite construction and other departments for all required or missing documents that are to be included in the System Compilation Manuals or Turnover Packages.
- Ensure all deficiencies resulting from walkdowns are correctly categorized and entered into the turnover database and coordinating with construction on clearing all deficiencies in a timely manner to ensure mechanical completion and final acceptance of the project.
- Assist in identifying the Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning teams' expected deliverables from the project.
- Core Activities: Possess functional knowledge of all areas of the Tug Berth Project, preservation, pre-commissioning, turnover, commissioning, operations, and/or maintenance technology. Communicate and interact with employees at all working and management levels. Provide effective management of large volumes of data and documentation. Perform onsite review, inspection, or walkdown of work scope for completeness, quality, and compliance with project specification and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Projects Coordinator with a focus on Mechanical systems in the Construction industry.
- Post-secondary education in a related field of study (Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, PMP Certification, etc.) is considered an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Sound knowledge of mechanical system concepts, codes, and standards.
- Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills that are complemented by effective oral and written communication skills, as well as listening skills.
- Tactful and mature demeanor with well-developed interpersonal skills including the ability to work with diverse personalities.
- Ability to make timely and objective decisions, while displaying a strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Office software, specifically MS Office and Bluebeam.
- Must have CSTS-2020 and possess valid certifications for the work being performed (i.e. - Fall Protection, Confined Space Entry & Monitor, EWP, etc.)
- Must complete a pre-access Alcohol and Drug test prior to accessing site.
- Class 5 Driver's License and a clear and current driver's abstract are required.
Working Conditions
The incumbent is required to work from the site trailers in an office and field environment with moderate noise. The job may require the incumbent to walk stairs, climb ladders, work at heights, and in confined spaces; be outside in inclement weather (slippery surfaces and cold); carrying objects, driving, and being exposed to normal office and field routines. This position will have access to Owner-provided camp facilities.
Physical Requirements
The incumbent is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: inspections, preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal for extended periods of time; and extensive reading. The incumbent is also required to stand and sit for extended periods of time and will require good physical attributes for walking on uneven ground, climbing, confined space entry, and limited lifting.
