Your Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Manager, National Assurance Standards who can work remotely within any of our Canadian offices to join our National Assurance & Accounting team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing guidance and performing research to assist individuals in the Firm's local offices on assurance and related services matters.
  • Providing consultation and assistance to assurance teams on complex matters.
  • Developing assurance and related services publications, manuals, and other practice tools for both internal and external distribution.
  • Striving for efficiency in reviewing forms and policies, ensuring that standards and quality are met on a national level.
  • Designing and delivering effective assurance and related services training programs for partners and staff.
  • Developing or enhancing Firm policies relating to assurance and related services standards.

Your Experience and Education

Requirements include:

  • A CPA designation (or foreign equivalent).
  • A minimum of 5 years (post-designation) of assurance and related services standards experience.
  • A strong proficiency in Canadian assurance and related services standards.
  • Experience in delivering training and presentations, including development of relevant materials.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
  • A basic understanding of other standards, policies, and procedures, including accounting standards (ASPE and ASNPO), risk management, independence, tax, etc.
