We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Management Professional to join our team at Lakehead Social Planning Council. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing expert financial guidance and support to ensure the smooth operation of our organization.

About the Role:

We are offering a competitive salary of $65,000 per year, commensurate with experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes dental, health care, paramedical services coverage, and vision care benefits.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing and analyzing budgets and financial reports to identify areas of improvement
  • Monitoring and maintaining financial control systems to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Overseeing the collection and analysis of financial data to inform business decisions
  • Managing cash flow and maintaining accurate financial records
  • Preparing and presenting budgets to stakeholders
  • Coordinating payroll and accounts payable/receivable processes

You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in Sage Accounting Software and contribute to the success of our organization through your expertise in accounting and financial management.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3-5 years of experience in financial administration or a related field
  • Degree in Business Administration or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
