Job Description

As a Sales Development Trainee at EMCO Corporation, you will be responsible for developing strong product knowledge and sales skills to excel in multiple facets of our business, including counter service, showroom sales, shipping/receiving, and product replenishment. Your key focus will be to manage key customer accounts, provide creative problem-solving for ambiguous situations, and exceed expectations to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Heavy counter service and sales consultations interacting directly with customers, phone orders, and quotations in a fast-paced plumbing wholesale environment.
  • Shipping/receiving of product and in-store product replenishment.
  • Drive your own development and become a product knowledge expert.
  • Cultivate a proactive culture to support teammates and customers.
  • Learn and drive key financial levers in our business to yield positive return on investment.
  • Work well with others and independently.

Requirements:

  • No plumbing or wholesale distribution experience is required.
  • College and/or University degree.
  • 2+ years of experience with customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude and results-oriented mindset.
  • Desire to continuously learn and grow.
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
  • Strong work ethic and high standard of integrity.
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team setting.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, vendors, and teammates.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
