We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finishing Specialist to join our team at Kamloops Concrete Placing and Finishing Ltd. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality concrete finishes on various construction projects.

About the Job

This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. The successful candidate will work 30 hours per week in a fast-paced environment with opportunities for professional growth and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Check formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement materials to ensure they meet project specifications.
  • Direct the placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade and depth specification.
  • Filling hollows and removing spots on freshly poured cement to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Operating power vibrators to compact concrete and ensure it reaches its intended density.
  • Leveling top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification.
  • Imparting a desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
  • Applying hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces and extend their lifespan.
  • Waterproofing, damp proofing, and restoring surfaces to prevent water damage and deterioration.
  • Repairing, resurfacing, and replacing worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.
Work Environment

As a Concrete Finishing Specialist, you will work primarily outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. You must be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
