Food and Beverage Operations Manager

Vancouver Aquarium is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food and Beverage Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our Food and Beverage team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that our food and beverage outlets meet the highest standards of quality and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide outstanding customer service and ensure that all visitors and guests have a positive experience in our food and beverage outlets.
  • Oversee the daily operations of our food and beverage outlets, including inventory management, staff training, and quality control.
  • Ensure that all food and beverage products are of exceptional quality and meet the highest standards of food safety and handling.
  • Assist with staff training and development, including coaching and mentoring to ensure that all team members have the skills and knowledge needed to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members as needed, and ensure that all outlets have the necessary resources to operate effectively.
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in all food and beverage outlets.
  • Assist with daily financial reporting and communication, including tracking sales, inventory, and labor costs.

Requirements:

  • Serving It Right certification is required.
  • Food Safe certified is preferred.
  • Clear background check is required.
  • Food services experience in a high volume fast-paced environment is an asset.
  • Previous customer service experience is preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience is an asset.
  • Possess strong leadership and people supervision skills.
  • Must be a motivated self-starter.
  • Take initiative and see tasks through to completion.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Possess strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Be an organized leader and lead by example.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to safely lift, move, and carry a variety of objects up to 30 lbs.
  • Must be available during the week, including weekends and holidays.

Hourly Wage: $20 per hour
