Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and physically fit individual to join our team as a Fishboat Deckhand at Young Guns Fisheries Limited.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain fishing gear, including nets, lines, and tackle.
  • Operate fishing equipment to catch fish and other marine life.
  • Clean, sort, and pack fish in ice, and stow catch in the hold.
  • Repair nets, splice ropes, and maintain fishing gear and other deck equipment.
  • Clean deck surfaces and the fish hold.
Work Environment

This is a physically demanding role that requires working outdoors in a fast-paced environment. You will be handling heavy loads, standing for extended periods, and working in confined spaces.

Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Will train on the job.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong physical fitness and ability to handle heavy loads.
