Job Title: Industrial Metal Fabrication Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Metal Fabrication Assistant to join our team at Malach Metal and Machining. As an Industrial Metal Fabrication Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our metal fabrication team in the production of high-quality metal products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from metal product surfaces.
  • Transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the plant manually.
  • Immerse metal products in cleaning solutions to ensure optimal quality.
  • Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators, or other metal workers in their tasks.
  • Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal, and other materials to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Polish metal products to a mirror finish to meet quality standards.
  • Read and interpret work orders to understand production requirements.
  • Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape, or straighten sheet metal to meet production needs.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • The position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail is essential to ensure high-quality products.
  • The role involves bending, crouching, and kneeling, requiring flexibility and mobility.

Experience:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
