Plumber/Maintenance Worker V

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plumber/Maintenance Worker V to join our team at Fraser Health. This is a critical role that requires a strong background in plumbing and maintenance, with a focus on ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform skilled plumbing work at the journeyman level, including testing, installation, alteration, and repair of plumbing systems, natural gas piping systems, appliances, equipment, and accessories.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on plumbing, architectural, electrical, and mechanical equipment on buildings and equipment.
- Operate and maintain building emergency systems, including fire alarm systems and emergency stand-by generators.
- Liaise with consultants and contractors to ensure that drawings and plans are updated when changes are made.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Certificate of Apprenticeship or Trades Qualification Certificate as a journeyman Plumber.
- Class B level Gas Fitter's License with an electrical endorsement recognized by the Province of BC.
- Valid Certificate of Competency as a Cross Connection Control Specialist issued by the American Water Works Association, British Columbia Section.
- Two years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Ability to organize work.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
