About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Building Cleaner to join our team at CCBS MAINTENANCE LTD. As a Building Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our employees and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors to ensure a clean and safe environment
  • Dust furniture to maintain a tidy and organized workspace
  • Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture to remove dirt and debris
  • Disinfect operating rooms and other areas to maintain a clean and hygienic environment
  • Clean and disinfect elevators to ensure a safe and clean environment for employees and visitors
  • Pick up debris and empty trash containers to maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Wash windows, walls and ceilings to maintain a clean and tidy environment
Requirements
  • Experience an asset in a similar role
  • Support for newcomers and refugees to create a welcoming work environment
  • Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition to ensure a smooth transition
  • Offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees to create a supportive work environment
  • Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees to promote inclusivity
  • Support for Indigenous people to create a welcoming work environment
  • Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers to promote career growth
  • Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers to promote inclusivity
  • Facilitates access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers to promote cultural understanding

Working Conditions: Permanent, 30 to 40 hours per week, English language, flexible schedule
