As a Post-Secondary Education Support Specialist at Beedie Luminaries, you will play a vital role in ensuring students receive the support they need to succeed. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing individualized solution-focused support to address barriers to success;
- Facilitating self-assessment of passions, strengths, and development opportunities;
- Assisting students with setting goals, identifying obstacles, and developing action plans;
- Building rapport and trust with students to support successful goal completion and monitor progress;
- Developing and promoting a positive transition into post-secondary environments;
- Providing ongoing communication and enforcing program eligibility and guidelines;
- Designing and conducting workshops focused on student success, self-care, mindfulness, financial literacy, mental well-being, and career development;
- Monitoring student progress and maintaining communication logs/case management files;
- Overseing conditional and renewal appeal processes including evaluation, withdrawal, and termination;

To be successful in this role, you will require a Master's degree in education, counseling, psychology, or a related field, with five-plus years of experience in a post-secondary setting. You will also need training or experience in intersectional and anti-racist engagement, as well as a deep understanding of the issues facing the next generation.
