Shift Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Manager to join our team at A & Z Foods Inc. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service team, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the activities of our food service staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are meeting our high standards.
- Operations Management: Establish methods to meet work schedules, manage inventory, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Customer Service: Ensure that our customers receive exceptional service, responding to their complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Training and Development: Train new staff members in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, as well as provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance their skills.
- Financial Management: Prepare budget and cost estimates, manage inventory, and maintain accurate records of sales and wastage.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
- Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service management role.
- Work Setting: Fast food outlet or concession in an urban area.
- Tasks: Establish work schedules, supervise and coordinate activities of staff, train staff, estimate ingredient and supplies required, hire food service staff, ensure quality control standards, prepare budget and cost estimates, address customer complaints, maintain records, prepare and submit reports.
- Supervision: 11-15 people, including cooks, kitchen and food service helpers.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, combination of sitting, standing, walking.
