We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Support Specialist to join our team at Direct Energy. As a Sales Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our sales team by providing exceptional customer service, resolving customer issues, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities
* Collect and verify customer information, including Power and Natural Gas usage data
* Ensure accurate deal structure and pricing for Power, Natural Gas, and other product offerings
* Create proposals and contracts for customers, and assist in generating revenue
* Maintain SLA productivity targets and deliver RFPs on time
* Generate and review contracts, and assist in contract renewal efforts
* Adjudicate and approve credit for small customers
* Meet with customers and channel partners to present pricing and post-sales account management
* Act as a liaison between sales teams, customers, and Operations departments to resolve customer issues
* Provide expertise in CRM and pricing systems, and assist in process and system changes
* Assist in development of Request for Proposal response packages
* Produce ad-hoc customer reports
* Research and resolve enrollment failures and dropped customer accounts
* Maintain knowledge of commodity and Solutions products, contract terms and conditions, and internal processes
Working Conditions
* Open office environment
* Sensory attention: Continual need to give concentrated attention where multiple stimuli are changing quickly
* Mental stress: Continuous occurrence of strong demand for results and multiple simultaneous demands requiring decisions
* Travel minimal
* Hybrid schedule
Minimum Requirements
* High School Diploma
* 2 or more years experience in sales, marketing, or customer service
* Knowledge of utility rules and requirements for retail energy suppliers
* User capability with Microsoft Office products
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree preferred; preferably in Business Management, Marketing, or a related field
* Energy industry experience preferred
* Knowledge of retail energy commodity products and pricing components preferred
* Knowledge of the sales cycle preferred
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced entrepreneurial team environment
* Attention to detail and deadline orientation
* Resourcefulness and ability to work with limited supervision
Physical Requirements
* Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is occasional opportunity to move about
