Job Summary:

The Retail Store Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of sales staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a high level of sales performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and train sales staff to meet sales targets and provide excellent customer service
  • Assign sales staff to duties and ensure adequate coverage of the sales floor
  • Hire and train new staff members, or arrange for training to be provided
  • Authorize payments by cheque and manage cash handling
  • Order merchandise and maintain inventory levels
  • Establish work schedules and ensure compliance with company policies
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters
  • Resolve customer complaints and supply shortages
  • Organize and maintain inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of workers, including sales staff and support staff
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail environment
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • 32 hours per week
Work Environment:

The Retail Store Supervisor will work in a fast-paced retail environment with tight deadlines and a focus on attention to detail.
