Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Caregiver to join our team at Marsh Haven.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide exceptional patient care and support to residents in our nursing home, promoting their physical and emotional well-being. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, reliable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming patients
  • Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities and provide transportation in wheelchairs or stretchers
  • Administer medications and perform other duties related to patient care and comfort
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure the cleanliness and organization of patient rooms
  • Supervise exercise routines and provide assistance as needed
Requirements
  • First Aid Certificate and CPR certification
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle (optional)
  • Ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and stand for extended periods
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Client-focused and dependable individual who can work under pressure
Work Environment

This role requires working in a rural area at a nursing home/home for the aged. The successful candidate must be willing to work on site and not remotely.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $40,000 - $50,000 per year, depending on experience.
