Artistic Director and Senior Choirs Conductor

We are seeking a dynamic and community-oriented Artistic Director and Senior Choirs Conductor to lead our organization and oversee all choral programming and educational curriculum. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our Board of Directors and team to create performance and partnership opportunities within the community.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive choral music program for youth aged 4-20
- Oversee repertoire selection for each concert and develop a season-long plan for performances, outreach opportunities, and festivals
- Develop and implement sight-singing and musicianship development curriculum for choristers
- Lead weekly team meetings with full staff complement and report any immediate issues to the Board of Directors
- Collaborate with local community and other artists to create engaging and inclusive performances
- Actively recruit singers through outreach and communicate with parents/guardians of choristers as needed
- Make informed choices regarding Kiwanis Festival entries and repertoire in collaboration with the artistic staff
- Undergraduate degree or higher in a relevant field (i.e., Bachelor of Music or Performance in Voice, focus on Choral Conducting or Music Education)
- Minimum 5 years experience with choral or ensemble conducting
- Strong understanding of vocal pedagogy and ability to act as a collaborative leader and mentor
- Proven record of encouraging diversity, equity, and inclusion within children's and youth programming and among artistic and administrative staff teams
