Tax Director/Senior Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Director/Senior Manager to join our team at Baker Tilly GWD. As a key member of our tax services group, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective tax strategies and planning assignments for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Work closely with partners and senior staff to develop and implement tax strategies and planning assignments
- Perform technical research and develop tax plan recommendations
- Manage a portfolio of tax services clients
- Review tax returns and other tax work prepared by staff
- Identify and cultivate new sales and/or client service opportunities
- Manage engagement financials, including budgets, WIP, variances, and billing
- Mentor, train, and develop staff
- Lead practice and professional development initiatives
- CPA designation or equivalent work experience
- Completion of the In-Depth Tax Program or equivalent work experience
- Experience working in public practice accounting
- At least two years in a tax specialty role, HST experience is an asset
- Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining trusted advisor relationships
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, mentor, and develop others to build high-performing teams
- Business development skills are an asset
