Job Summary

DAVE CUT MAKE & TRIM INC. is seeking a skilled Labourer - Textile Processing to join our team. As a Labourer - Textile Processing, you will be responsible for loading and off-loading machines, operating and feeding various machines, and performing other tasks related to textile processing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Machine Operation: Load and off-load machines, operate and feed a variety of machines, and perform other tasks related to machine operation.
  • Fabric Handling: Cut fabric or layers of fabric to specifications, clean machines and immediate work areas, and perform other tasks related to fabric handling.
  • Quality Control: Examine products for defects to ensure adherence to quality standards, mix dyes or chemicals according to established formulae, and prepare solutions to clean, dehair, pickle, oil or tan hides and skins.
  • Teamwork: Assist machine operators and other textile workers as required, adjust cutting technique to type of fabric and style of garment, and adjust rotation and mixing action of vats according to state of pelts.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months or equivalent experience

Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
