Job Overview

Baptist Housing is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in Kelowna. As a member of our nursing staff, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents.

About the Role

This part-time position involves working night shifts from 11pm to 7am, with a focus on providing comprehensive nursing care to our residents. You will be responsible for assessing resident needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring
  • Conduct resident assessments, develop and implement care plans, and make recommendations for service adjustments
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, social workers, and therapists
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and current registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives
  • Experience working in long-term care or gerontological nursing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $41.42 to $55.91 per hour, depending on experience. Additionally, you will receive extended health and dental benefits, a municipal pension plan, and opportunities for professional development.
