Project Overview

Manpower Canada is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineering Lead to support the design and development of industrial buildings. This is a groundbreaking project that embodies a manufacturing commitment to innovation and environmental responsibility. As a key member of the Engineering Department, you will oversee the design and development of industrial buildings, ensure compliance with all relevant codes and standards, and lead diverse teams to achieve project goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design and development of industrial buildings, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards
  • Utilize extensive experience in facilities management and large-scale project execution to drive the development of specifications and design images using AutoCAD
  • Communicate with all stakeholders and management groups to coordinate project activities and ensure seamless integration
  • Schedule and plan project work
  • Review and approve design drawings
  • Develop concept drawings and create new equipment and building specifications where they don't exist
  • Manage the commissioning and handover processes, ensuring all systems are fully operational and meet the high standards of quality and sustainability

Requirements

  • University Degree in Mechanical Engineering and P-Eng
  • Minimum of 15 years' experience in Industrial building design
  • Large Project management experience (>$50 Million)
  • Building code knowledge
  • HVAC design, install and commission experience
  • Understanding of different manufacturing processes as they relate to Building and Infrastructure
  • Willing and able to travel internationally and to the US
  • New technology relating to Carbon Neutral initiatives (preferred)
  • Combined Heat and Power (CHP) experience (preferred)
  • Geothermal technology experience as it relates to industrial buildings (preferred)
  • Cooling Tower technology and design experience (preferred)
  • Heat absorption technology (preferred)
  • Energy modelling (preferred)
  • Facilities operations Management (preferred)
