Salary Range: $80,532 - $93,247 annually, plus overtime and bonuses.
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Alliston, Ontario. As a key member of our Equipment Services department, you will be responsible for designing and developing new and existing equipment, managing projects from concept to completion, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage projects involving initial investigation, project and budget approval, resource management, testing, and implementation.
- Develop proposals and deliver presentations to all levels of management to secure project approvals and funding.
- Collaborate with Quality, Safety, and Purchasing departments to ensure equipment specifications meet company standards.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis to identify equipment improvements opportunities, including safety, quality, efficiency, reliability, and recovery processes.
- Create, modify, or review assembly and layout drawings using Catia and AutoCAD software.
- Prepare and complete reports and documentation for downtime, Root Cause Analysis, countermeasure activity, project status updates, and follow-up activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on equipment design and development.
- Strong knowledge of CAD software (Catia, AutoCAD) and analytical tools (Root Cause Analysis).
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
