We are seeking a highly skilled RF System Architect to join our 5G R&D team in Ottawa, Canada. The successful candidate will have expertise in 4G and 5G Radio development and will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing technology new to Dell for addressing the demands of the 5G Radio subsystem for operators.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Designing and validating low power RF components for 5G Radio Units
  • Creating link budget, frequency planning, and implementing schematic and layout design using ECAD tools
  • Collaborating with system designers, thermal and mechanical designers, and software design leads on Radio Unit architectures
  • Utilizing RF simulation tools to help realize RF components and performing RF parameters measurement
  • Creating design documents and owning vendor technical relationship and device selection

Requirements:

  • Proven record of working on large mobile network systems
  • Detailed understanding of 3GPP specifications and worldwide spectrum and telecommunications regulations
  • Organized, goal-oriented technical expert to guide, follow, and effectively collaborate with knowledgeable development peers and business partners
  • Basic knowledge of DPD and how it affects the RF chain
  • Working knowledge of RF lab equipment and 4G and 5G Radio and/or subsystems architecture, implementation, and ecosystem
