About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Senior RF Designer to join our 5G R&D team at Dell. As a member of this team, you will play a critical role in designing and developing groundbreaking products and solutions that will shape the future of 5G technology.

Your Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for designing and validating low-power RF components for 5G Radio Units, including creating link budget and frequency planning.
  • Implementing schematic and layout design using ECAD tools (Concept HDL, Allegro) and collaborating with system designers, thermal and mechanical designers, and software design leads on Radio Unit architectures.
  • Utilizing RF simulation tools to help realize RF components (ADS, AWR, Matlab, etc.). Performing RF parameters measurement (NF, IP3, P1dB, RL, etc.)
  • Creating design documents (Design Specification, Verification Specification, Verification Report, etc.).
  • Ownership of vendor technical relationships and device selection and mentoring junior designers.

Requirements

  • A proven record of working on large mobile network systems either as a member of a network equipment manufacturer or as a radio technology provider.
  • Detailed understanding of 3GPP specifications and worldwide spectrum and telecommunications regulations.
  • Organized, goal-oriented technical expert to guide, follow, and effectively collaborate with knowledgeable development peers and business partners.
  • Basic knowledge of DPD and how it affects the RF chain.
  • Working knowledge of RF lab equipment (Network, Signal and Spectrum Analyzer, etc.). Knowledge in 4G and 5G Radio and/or subsystems architecture, implementation, and ecosystem and proven track record taking designs to volume production.
