Job Title: Design Engineer

Genifab Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to contribute to the success of our engineering team.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement engineering concepts required in the tender process and ensure client requirements are met.
  • Participate in constructability reviews during the initial engineering phase and construction.
  • Maintain and improve engineering tools used within the company.
  • Participate in technical reviews with clients and ensure draftsmen understand and assimilate technical requirements of design.
  • Complete design notes and initial drawings to define equipment to design.
  • Prepare assembly, installation, and testing procedures.
  • Prepare and follow engineering schedules.
  • Handle non-conformities in fabrication and initiate work modification requests as required.
  • Perform on-site inspections of work and resolve design issues.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in design engineering and project management.
  • Member of OIQ.
  • Proficient with structural software such as SAFI and Civil Design.
  • ISO 9001 knowledge.
  • Experience on hydroelectric projects.
