We are seeking a Senior Risk Management Director to lead our Enterprise Risk Governance team. As a key member of our senior management team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and directing our Enterprise Risk Management Department.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in learning new things and processes outside of their area of expertise. You will develop and implement a corporate-wide risk assessment tool/program to identify, assess, and report on corporate-wide risk and mitigation strategy. This requires in-depth knowledge of auditing principles, techniques, and professional standards.

  • You will develop an audit program to test adherence to, and the effectiveness of, our internal control framework and risk mitigation strategies.
  • As part of your role, you will consult with Management/Executive on various risk, control, and governance matters to ensure any gaps are properly assessed and mitigated.
About the Role

The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of all business activities and operations, related risks, and strategy. You will use this knowledge to develop, implement, and oversee a corporate-wide risk assessment and risk management approach.

  • You will report regularly to our Board of Directors, through the Governance Committee, on the audit plan and corporate risk assessment.
  • As a valued member of our team, you will provide guidance on enterprise risk management. You will conduct or assist with the development of a hazard, risk, and vulnerability assessment for each area office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining a thorough understanding of all business activities and operations, related risks, and strategy.
  • Reporting regularly to the Board of Directors, through the Governance Committee, on the audit plan and corporate risk assessment.
  • Providing guidance on enterprise risk management.
  • Conducting or assisting with the development of a hazard, risk, and vulnerability assessment for each area office.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor of Commerce Degree with a concentration in accounting as well as a Chartered Professional Accounting Designation.
  • Membership with the Institute of Internal Auditors.

Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $160,000 per annum
