Operations Manager

Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Site Manager will oversee and lead operational tasks in the yard. They will ensure effective response to quality, productivity, and health and safety requirements. The Site Manager will collaborate with management to optimize and improve processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Set performance goals and deadlines aligned with company plans and vision, and communicate them to subordinates.
- Organize workflow and ensure employees understand their duties and delegated tasks.
- Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
- Maintain accurate timekeeping and personnel records.
- Share information from upper management to employees and vice versa.
- Prepare and submit performance reports.
- Ensure adherence to legal and company policies and procedures.
- Take disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Lead by example as a hands-on manager.
- Proven experience as a supervisor is an asset.
- Experience in the metal scrap industry is an asset.
- Knowledge of commercial trucks and forklifts.
- Ability to learn various job descriptions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
- Good knowledge of Outlook, MS Office, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel.

- Responsible for reporting all accidents, illnesses, or 'near miss' incidents to management.
- Permanent full-time position.
- 44 hours per week, with the ability to work extended hours and Saturdays when necessary.
