Key Responsibilities

  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage items.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation protocols when handling food and beverages.
  • Serve food and beverages, clear tables, and return equipment to designated areas.
  • Maintain safety in service corridors by keeping areas clear to comply with local fire codes.
  • Manage catering equipment and linens responsibly.
  • Address spills and breakages promptly.
  • Assist with the arrangement and movement of tables and chairs as needed.
  • Report any issues or complaints to department leaders.
  • Ensure proper handling, use, and storage of all equipment.
  • Oversee room setups and teardowns.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • Serving It Right certificate.
  • Previous service experience an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Highly responsible and reliable.
  • Capable of performing well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective team player with the ability to collaborate seamlessly with colleagues.
  • Attentive to guest needs, maintaining composure and courtesy at all times.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying of items up to 60 lbs.
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
  • Ability to navigate stairs as needed.
