About the Role:

Federated Co-operatives Limited is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, including conducting regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs of structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct ongoing inspections, maintenance, and repairs of facilities to ensure they are safe and functional.
  • Maintain compliance with Asset Protection and Health and Safety Standards.
  • Determine best practices for implementing ongoing preventative measures and addressing reactive and emergent requirements.
  • Respond to facility deficiencies in a timely and professional manner.
  • Use data base and communication tools to track assigned work, record notes, and close cases.
  • Present a positive, collaborative, and professional image of the organization to all customers, visitors, and members.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of facility repair and maintenance experience.
  • Experience and/or knowledge in plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and overall general maintenance skills.
  • Well-organized and capable of attaining a high level of production with a minimum amount of supervision.
  • Honest, trustworthy, results-oriented, and proud of the work that you do.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Flexibility to respond to issues outside of regular working hours as required.
  • Physical labour required, including standing, driving, walking, climbing, and kneeling.
  • Valid Class 5 license and ability to travel throughout the Federated Co-operatives Limited trading area.
