About the Role:

Federated Co-operatives Limited is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, including maintenance, repairs, and preventative measures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of facilities, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees and visitors.
  • Determine best practices for implementing preventative measures and addressing reactive and emergent requirements to prolong the life of existing and new equipment.
  • Respond to facility deficiencies in a timely and professional manner.
  • Use database and communication tools to track assigned work, record notes, and close cases.
  • Present a positive, collaborative, and professional image of the organization to all customers, visitors, and members.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in facility repair and maintenance.
  • Experience and/or knowledge in plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and overall general maintenance skills.
  • Well-organized and capable of attaining a high level of production with minimal supervision.
  • Honest, trustworthy, results-oriented, and proud of the work done.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Flexibility to respond to issues outside of regular working hours as required.
  • Physical labor required, including standing, driving, walking, climbing, and kneeling.
