Capital Project Planning and Delivery Role

The Capital Project Planning and Delivery division within the Department of Consumer Protection and Government Services is responsible for delivering all construction-related capital projects for various government departments.

This division consists of capital project management and technical staff who work together to deliver the mission of the Central Capital program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, prioritize, and recommend capital projects
  • Support the development, monitoring, and management of capital plans for selected client departments
  • Provide expertise in capital planning and project management
Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field, such as project management, engineering, architecture, or business administration
  • Extensive experience in capital planning and/or project management, including design and construction, contract management, and managing interdisciplinary teams
  • Strong planning, research, and analytical skills
  • Strong written communication skills to prepare complex technical documents
  • Experience using Project Management software
Working Conditions

The Capital Planner will work in a fast-paced environment and may be required to work overtime as needed.

The position requires the ability to perform physical tasks, such as working alone, operating equipment, and exposure to varied weather conditions.
