Capital Project Planning and Delivery Expert

Join the Manitoba Government's Capital Project Planning and Delivery team as a Capital Project Planning Specialist. This role is part of the Department of Consumer Protection and Government Services, responsible for delivering all construction-related capital projects for various government departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, prioritize, and recommend capital projects to support the development, monitoring, and management of capital plans for selected client departments.
  • Provide expertise in capital planning and project management, including design and construction, contract management, and managing interdisciplinary teams.
  • Analyze policies and programs to determine feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and consistency with established policy, and recommend alternatives.
  • Leverage opportunities for innovation, find creative solutions to issues, and successfully manage change.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including senior officials and project team members.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree in a related field, such as project management, engineering, architecture, facility management, or business administration.
  • Extensive experience in capital planning and/or project management, including design and construction, contract management, and managing interdisciplinary teams.
  • Strong planning, research, and analytical skills to identify and integrate relevant information into action plans.
  • Strong written communication skills to prepare complex technical documents for a variety of audiences.
  • Experience using Project Management software.
