Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Caregiving Specialist to join our team at Schlegel Villages Inc. as a Nursing Support Associate. In this role, you will provide personalized care to our residents, focusing on their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supply and empty bed pans, ensuring a clean and hygienic environment for residents.
  • Take patients' blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, providing vital health information to our care team.
  • Serve meal trays and feed patients, promoting nutrition and hydration.
  • Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Make beds and maintain patients' rooms, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Bathe, dress, and groom patients, enhancing their dignity and self-esteem.
  • Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher, facilitating mobility and accessibility.
  • Collect specimens, supporting our residents' health and wellness.
  • Administer first aid in emergency situations, providing immediate care and attention.
  • Provide personal care, companionship, and emotional support, fostering a sense of belonging.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Launder clothing and household linens, ensuring residents' personal items are clean and fresh.
Requirements and Certifications:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Nursing Aide Certificate
  • Health Care Aide Certificate
  • Personal Support Worker Certificate
  • Criminal record check
  • Immunization records
  • Vulnerable sector check
  • Tuberculosis test
