FIPS Evaluator III

Job Summary
Intertek is seeking a highly skilled FIPS Evaluator III to join our Connected World team in Ottawa, Ontario. As a key member of our High Security Certification team, you will lead a team of engineers in assessing the compliance of cryptographic modules against the Federal Information Processing Standard Information Technology (FIPS and ISO 19790/24579 Security Evaluation standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead FIPS 140-3 validations and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Develop and implement effective testing strategies for CAVP algorithm testing using ACVP/ACVTS.
- Collaborate with customers and NIST/CMVP to ensure seamless project execution.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers to ensure high-quality test reports and certification documentation.
- Review and comment on submission-related output from other engineers to ensure accuracy and quality.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Proven experience in leading at least five full FIPS validations and a strong understanding of FIPS 140-3 certification process.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work well individually and in a team environment.
- Hands-on experience with MS Office, Windows, and Linux, as well as proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, and Java.
