Job Summary

The Chief Administrative Officer is a strategic position that reports directly to the Rural Community Council. This role is responsible for overseeing the development and execution of the local government's short- and long-term vision and plans.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic direction and oversight to ensure the effective implementation of the local government's vision and plans.
  2. Multi-Stakeholder Management: Foster collaboration and decision-making among various stakeholders to achieve organizational goals.
  3. Operational Management: Ensure the sound management of daily activities and operations, aligning with the local government's strategic objectives.
  4. Culture Development: Lead by example to create and sustain an organizational culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  5. Team Management: Supervise and develop a team of professionals to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
  6. Communication: Develop and maintain effective communication channels to ensure transparency and collaboration among stakeholders.
  7. Change Management: Manage significant changes aimed at creating a positive and productive work culture, demonstrating transparency and integrity.
  8. Analysis and Planning: Conduct analysis and develop plans to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
  9. Networking: Establish and maintain a network of contacts to support organizational objectives.
  10. Technology: Utilize technology, including Microsoft Office Suite, to support organizational operations and decision-making.
Requirements
  1. Education: A degree in business administration or commerce, or a university degree or college deemed equivalent.
  2. Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of management experience, preferably in a community-driven role.
  3. Skills: Strong leadership, management, and organizational skills, with the ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
  4. Language: Fluency in spoken and written French and English is preferred.
