Job Title: Chief Operating Officer and CEO

The position of Chief Operating Officer and CEO reports directly to the Rural Community Council and is responsible for carrying out the strategic direction set by Council by overseeing the development and execution of the local government's short- and long-term vision and plans.

This is a strategic position for a professional who will personify the values of local government and lead by example to create and sustain an organizational culture where everyone is safe, valued, and respected.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute the local government's short- and long-term vision and plans.
  • Oversee the development and execution of the local government's strategic direction.
  • Lead by example to create and sustain an organizational culture where everyone is safe, valued, and respected.
  • Establish and maintain a network of contacts.
  • Good knowledge of technology, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Preference will be given to candidates that are fluent in spoken and written French and English.
Requirements:
  • A degree in the field of business administration or commerce, or a university degree or college deemed equivalent.
  • Strong consideration will be given to candidates having already worked in a community-driven role.
