About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Manager to join our team at AIMS 5 HOLDINGS INC. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
  • Inventory and Logistics
    • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
  • Reporting and Communication
    • Prepare and submit reports
    • Prepare food order summaries for the chef
  • Work Environment and Safety
    • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all staff
    • Implement and maintain food safety and handling procedures
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service environment
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Food Safety Certificate
    • Safe Food Handling certificate
  • Personal Qualities
    • Excellent oral communication skills

Working Conditions

This is a permanent position with a 30 to 40 hour work week. The work environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to work under pressure. The successful candidate will be required to stand for extended periods and work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
