Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Sewing Machine Operator to join our team at Comfort Upholstery (2003) Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating sewing machines to join sections of garments or other articles into finished products on a piece-work or production basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform minor repairs and adjustments to equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Operate sewing machines or sew by hand to produce high-quality products.
  • Monitor inventory levels of issued materials and stocks to maintain efficient production.
  • Use sewing guides and tension devices to achieve precise stitching.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to distinguish between colours.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Hand-eye co-ordination.
  • Accurate.
  • Organized.
  • Reliability.

Work Conditions:

  • 30 to 40 hours per week.
  • Permanent work term.
  • Work Language: English.
