Lightmatter is seeking a highly skilled Analog Design Engineer to join our team in Toronto, ON. As a key member of our analog team, you will be responsible for architecting the world's first photonic computers.

This is a fundamentally interdisciplinary role, requiring deep expertise in mixed-signal and analog design, as well as breadth across other engineering disciplines, such as photonics and digital electronics, semiconductor device physics, thermal/packaging, and machine learning.

Responsibilities include supporting micro-architecture development with chip architects, collaborating with design engineering teams to define electrical requirements, designing analog/mixed-signal blocks, and validating performances of the circuits in the lab.

Requirements include a MS with 3+ years of industry experience, or a Ph.D. with 5+ years of industry experience, with a focus on optical or wireline transceiver design.

Preferred qualifications include knowledge of 3D Electro-Magnetic (EM) simulation tools, experience interfacing with silicon photonic Mach-Zehnder modulators, and a successful track record in delivering analog/mixed-signal IPs.

Benefits include a comprehensive Health Care Plan, Group Retirement Savings Plan matching, Life Insurance, and a Stock Option Plan.

Lightmatter recruits, employs, trains, compensates, and promotes regardless of race, religion, color, national origin, sex, disability, age, veteran status, and other protected status as required by applicable law.
